Job Description Summary:

Apply a working knowledge of inspection, engineering and manufacturing support techniques in support of the business operations and specific company objectives. Will accomplish duties while working within prescribed technical parameters along with fellow quality, engineering and team personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities
Work with operations personnel, engineering personnel and staff members to meet customer commitments.
Perform a final and in-process inspection activity, which indicates that the quality of the component is in accordance with defined department, company, customer and ANAC requirements.
Perform receiving/first article inspections, conformity inspections, interchangeability checks and supports the necessary document control.
Support the Operations department and their team members by monitoring various precision instruments, equipment and facilities to insure regulatory compliance.
Prepare and maintain necessary related records and reports.
Inspect repaired components and approve them for return to customer/service.
Develop/analyze planning, analyze data, develop bills of material, develop special repairs, perform systems input of data and provide liaison coverage to other departments on technical issues.
Works proactively in addressing potential issues and applies real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution.

Basic Qualifications:
Functional and Technical Skills & Knowledge

Basic computer skills and the ability to use MS Office and other computer programs.
Must have a good understanding of Repair Station Manuals, ANAC (Brazilian Aviation Authority) regulations.
Must be able to work effectively across functional boundaries and have demonstrated time management skills in order to handle multiple priorities.
Ability to utilize computer system including input of data and retrieval of information for inspections and configuration purposes.
Must be able to apply a thorough knowledge of inspection practice and procedure in the field of aircraft repair, assembly and installation.
Must be familiar with company and customer specifications as applied to final and in-process inspections.
Must be familiar with company, regulatory, and customer specifications as applied to aircraft component return-to-service tasks.
Must have a working knowledge of precision measuring equipment, functional and continuity test tools/equipment and be familiar with shop mathematics, including decimals and fractions.
Must have a thorough understanding of shop planning and have a basic understanding of the special repair process.
Must be able to work effectively across functional boundaries and have demonstrated time management skills in order to handle multiple priorities.

Communication and Comprehension Skills
Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to educate/train other associates concerning the role of the Quality Control Inspector (QC) in our facility.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Repair Station Manuals, AS9100/ISO procedures manual, and ANAC (Brazilian Aviation Authority) regulations. Ability to write legibly.
Ability to expertly convey information in written and verbal form to include sketches describing discrepancies associated with detail parts and assemblies.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment and work with chemicals required for the job.
Basic understanding of Lean is preferred.

Basic Competencies
4 Years as airframe or engine mechanic
Technical degree or equivalent.
CHT - Airframe or Engine
