Responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological, and chemical hazards. Trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Participates in OSHA inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of speciality and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. |
Perform the management of the EH&S area and develop program to improve and reach the company's target related with the area.
Develop policies to ensure safety of an environment, its customers and employees.
Inspect equipment, environments and buildings to identify areas that can potentially cause health safety and environmental hazards.
Perform safety, health and environmental assessments according to company's procedures.
Stay abreast of new laws and regulations regarding environmental, health and safety, and make the appropriate changes for their employer.
Investigate accidents and injuries
Recommend improvements to safety policies and programs.
Define procedures for EH&S and give training of these procedures.
Specify equipment and controls of the personal protection equipment, fire protection assuring its quality and efficiency.
Manage the EH&S index and propose improvements to meet the company's targets.
