My client are looking for a Site Engineer to be based on a large cut and carve valued at £50 million. The project is based in Central London near Kings Cross. My client is looking to pay up to £55,000 plus package.|
This Engineer will be on site at all times and working closely with the Project Manager. The project has been on site for 3 months and at this moment in time the project is putting up the frame and soon to follow the cladding will be put up. The engineer will get involved with the setting out but will also be in charge of managing the sub-contractors for the frame, groundworks and cladding packages so experience on similar sized projects will be ideal.
Other duties include:
* All setting out & levelling as and when required
* Recording all material checks and inspections as company procedures
* Communicate effectively to site operatives, project team
* Ensuring all survey/site equipment is tested and calibrated when necessary
* Keep quality check-sheets, H&S paperwork and daily diary up to date
Ideally the succesful candidate will come from a main contracting background and have over 3 years experience as an on site engineer, although a mixed engineering background could be considered.
The ideal salary that the client are looking to pay is around £55,000 plus a car allowance of £5500, all travel expenses paid, private healthcare, pension and a discretionary bonus from 5-10%. Although if the ideal candidate came up they would potentially increase their offer. The project is a £70 million mixed use scheme that is due to finish in early 2017. It includes residential, commercial, retail and a cinema. It has RC and steel frame involved and the residential block goes up to 10 stories.
This main contractor are in the top 3 busiest contractors in London and have progressed rapidly in the last 10 years. They like their Project Managers to come from an engineering background so if you are looking to develop your career and progress through the ranks this could be a good opportunity for you.
