About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
AECOM is involved in a large Water project based in the South West for the duration of AMP6. We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to progress this project from pre-design through to handover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to join one of the largest and most challenging water projects in the UK.

Minimum Requirements
  • You will hold a BSc or BEng in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Construction Management.
  • You will hold current SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
  • Understand the importance of embedding a Health and Safety culture both on site and across an organisation.
  • You will play a key role in developing the project budget and schedule, and ensure process is followed.
  • As part of a leading engineering firm, it is essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills, using these to develop and maintain a good working relationship with both internal and external customers.
  • You will have demonstrated an ability to run projects, administer contracts and control budgets.
  • Demonstrate sound problem solving skills, accountability for assigned work, and solid written and communication skills.
  • You will be confident acting as a mentor to developing engineers, promoting their technical and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Engaged within your industry, holding an accredited Project Management qualification.
  • Whilst predominantly a PM role, the individual will benefit from a technical background and ideally have experience of P-removal.
  • Well networked individual, having previous experience of water and waste water projects within other regions.
  • Experienced within the Water / Waste Water industry.
  • Understanding of behavioural safety within a Mechanical, Electrical and/or Civil engineering environment.
