General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Program Support Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to perform technical activities that impact the design and manufacturing of advanced electronic systems. Key Responsibilities

This position is in the Tactical Control System (TCS) unit of the Fair Lakes Engineering Department. This position will support the TCS Systems Engineering team with the documentation and coordination of technical work and Customer meetings. This position will be responsible for management and support of all the project's Systems Engineering (SE) and Customer meetings, composition of all milestone meeting packages, detailed documentation of meeting discussion, and coordination of meeting artifacts and actions on Alliance SharePoint. Additional responsibilities include organization of the project's Capability Items (CI), maintaining their status in all tracking documentation, and creation and maintenance of various WebEx team meetings.

Additional Responsibilities

Details of the position may include the following:

  • Primary point of contact for composition of all Systems Engineering meeting minutes and distribution to TCS team

  • Schedule and provide WebEx meeting information to team members

  • Plan and coordinate Customer Meetings, including tracking of external attendance, room and food reservations, conference room set-up and all other miscellaneous provisions

  • Assist with CI management for all active baselines within DOORS and Alliance Sharepoint

  • Compile Milestone Meeting packages, organize input from all subsystems, and assist in package delivery

  • Assist with weekly internal SE meetings

  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the General Dynamics Mission Systems culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures

  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices

Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of advanced electronics systems, and the ability to further advance and support General Dynamics Mission Systems network technology.

The Program Support Engineer position requires a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, and zero to two years of related experience; or a master's degree. Equivalent years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.

Department of Defense Secret clearance must be obtained within 24 months of hire date. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Required Key Skills:

  • Highly-motivated self-starter who is very detail oriented

  • Analytical experience, initiative, and follow-through

  • High proficiency in suite of MS Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Project

  • Experience in preparation of presentations, reports, and graphs
