General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for Next Generation SSBN Fire Control Integrated Product Team Lead to lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT). The individual will lead various aspects of the Sub System design, development, and testing associated with the SSBN Replacement Fire Control System development. The selected candidate will apply GDMS engineering and SP23 customer processes and practices in the execution of tasks and activities including, but not limited to, requirements analysis, design analysis, implementation, and system integration & test. The selected candidate will also support the development of schedules and budgets, report status on schedules and budgets, and identify corrective actions when schedules and budgets are not on track.
The Next Generation SSBN Fire Control Integrated Product Team Lead will work with collaborative teams to perform technical activities that impact the design and manufacturing of advanced electronic systems. The Next Generation SSBN Fire Control Integrated Product Team Lead will perform work under general supervision and will interact with internal development and support organizations including Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Quality Management, Engineering Support Services, Configuration Management, Manufacturing, and Program Management. The selected candidate will also attend and support external meetings and reviews with program team members including Government Customers, Prime Contractors, Government Laboratories, and Program Support Agencies
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance General Dynamics Mission Systems technology.
The Next Generation SSBN Fire Control Integrated Product Team Lead position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline and at least five to eight years of related work experience. Applicants with a masters degree and a minimum of three to six years of related experience are also eligible.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
