Job Description:
Management of projects relating to New Product introduction, major/ significant unit modification programmes, major facility projects and any project or programme deemed of significant importance by the Programmes Leadership team. This role will require the indirect management of all employees required to fulfil project commitments.

Key activities:
The job holder will support the Project Management team to achieve the business and customer deliverables associated with all current/ future projects and be accountable for;
• Primary customer interface
• Creating, maintaining and effectively communicating project plans
• Internal and external reporting at executive level
• Negotiating and acquiring the necessary resources to achieve project deliverables
• Creating and managing project cash flows, budgets and forecasts
• Identifying and implementing cost reduction and other financial enhancement initiatives
• Become a focal for change management coordination & tracking to enable cost assertions
• Supporting customer satisfaction surveys against agreed and structured success criteria
• Supporting Project Status Reviews to Customer and UTAS Senior Management
• Ensuring compliance to the UTAS ACE and the Programme Management Passport process
• Ensure Key Project Indicators are tracked, maintained and reported on a regular basis
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement ideas and methodology

• Relevant Aerospace Industry Experience
• Proven experience of Programme planning and control techniques, including risk management
• Significant experience and knowledge in Project and Programme management
• Management experience in a multi-disciplined project environment

Personal Attributes:
The successful candidate will have a comprehensive range of skills or potential including:
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability for developing and maintaining robust customer relationships
• Good organisational and analytical ability including competence with general IT tools (i.e. MS Office)
• Knowledge of project management IT tools (MS Project, etc. would be an advantage)
• Demonstrable track record of high performance standards used to deliver committed objectives
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong financial acumen
• Passionate desire to excel against demanding customer expectations
• Ability to think creatively and wisely apply your influential personality
• A passion to take ownership and deliver as both leader and member in a winning and supportive team environment
• Experience of working within a complex business situation.
• Willing to travel and to work flexible hours to support communication across different time zones
