Experienced professional Civil Engineer fully trained and competent to ensure high productivity in all conventional aspects and functions of civil, structural or transmission line engineering.
Plans, schedules, conducts, coordinates, and directs detailed projects of moderate scope or part of a major project. Work requires sound judgment and a broad knowledge of standards and precedents in civil, structural and line engineering along with knowledge of the electrical engineering aspects of transmission line engineering.
Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, difficult coordination and difficult construction.
Publication of engineering papers and articles in professional and trade journals is desirable.
May perform design or storm damage related inspections.
Plans and performs the assessment of and rehabilitation of installed lines and structures or develops new designs.
Performs analysis of existing facilities for changes in use and loading determining appropriate
Performs cost estimates and economic analysis to support value engineering.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This individual, in collaboration with the Lead Grout Engineer and client, will be responsible for developing a project-specific database (IMS) and for confirming that the Contractor's QC staff performs daily entry of all drilling, water testing and grouting data. The Grouting Program Database will provide a summary of all drilling, water pressure testing and grouting results and will provide a means by which all data associated with the grouting program can be easily organized, summarized, and evaluated.
The Data Analyst will work with the client staff during deployment of the field data digital recording platform so that data can be efficiently uploaded to the database by the Contractor's QC Team.
Confirm that data and notes recorded on drilling, pressure testing and grouting logs for each stage of each hole are entered by the Contractor's QC Staff into the grouting database. Supplement with information as recorded by the Grout Inspectors and QA staff.
This individual will sort and categorize the data so that figures, tables and plots can be generated efficiently in order to aid with the timely analysis of the ongoing program's progress and effectiveness.
The Data Analyst is integral toward preparation of figures and tables that demonstrate various aspects of the work as designated by the Lead Grout Engineer.
Provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies.
Assists in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards.
Provides technical guidance to others regarding projects and disciplines.
Independently applies knowledge and complies with B&V quality program relative to assigned tasks.
May be responsible for ensuring compliance with B&V quality program.
Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts. Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects.
Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Independently applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis problems and methods. Reviews lower level engineering work or assignments.
Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects. Responsible for assisting with identification of key client interests and drivers on moderately complex projects and may determine the key clients in some instances. Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on moderately complex projects.
Typically provides support to business development or pursuit activities. Knowledge Sharing, Serves as a technical specialist and has knowledge and skill set to provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a particular practice area.
Typically supports multiple projects on the complex technical challenges.
Actively fosters knowledge management and provides mentoring.
Develops and applies advanced engineering concepts and approaches to unique engineering problems.
Typically assists with performance management process, mentoring, recognition, and any corrective actions required.
May participate in career planning, and learning and development. Implements resource management strategy.
Manages engineering resources for small groups of a single discipline. Administrative responsibilities may include office administration. Ensures policies, procedures, and processes are effectively implemented and communicated for workgroup.
Ensures adherence to corporate and division programs.
May approve timesheets and expense reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
Demonstrated experience with
electronic spreadsheets, standard structural engineering software, line engineering software and computer aided drafting software.
Demonstrated working knowledge and proficiency in multiple technical areas related to transmission
system achieved at Engineer-I and other areas including the ability to plan, schedule and coordinate.
Communication skills showing the ability to give clear direction to others, negotiate, confront difficult and adverse situations such as may exist when dealing with staff, suppliers, land owners, state and federal agencies , railroads, public utilities, A/E firms and higher management.

Preferred Job Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer Membership in professional/technical societies is desirable.
Written Communications, Drive For Results, Decision Quality, Priority Setting, Planning, Delegation, Directing Others, Conflict Management, Informing, Listening, Dealing with Ambiguity, Customer Focus, And Building Effective Teams. Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
