The New Business Sales Consultant is responsible for driving ADT new Customer acquisition in a set geographical territory.

The position will proactively seek out new Customers (businesses who do not buy from ADT today) focusing on small and medium enterprises. The consultant will be selling ADT’s complete SME solution and service portfolio (which includes intruder alarm, CCTV, access control and fire detection solutions, along with maintenance and monitoring services).

The consultant will self-generate prospects and opportunities, including some telesales appointment activity, and manage set lead sources (business intelligence and internally generated new business appointments). The consultant is expected to deliver an activity level to achieve their sales targets based upon their personal conversion rates.

All activity will be driven through ADT Evolve technology to quote, negotiate and close ADT’s SME solution portfolio. It is expected the consultant will attach a % of AMR to installation orders.

Upon acquiring a new Customer the consultant will hand the account into the territory team and the Customer will be managed via the commercial customer contact strategy.

The successful candidate will be a “hunter” of new prospects rather than a “farmer” of existing accounts. He or she will be able to function independently but will also be able to leverage resources and engage with ADT operational departments to ensure high levels of customer service.

q Achieve targeted activity levels for new business appointments and quote output (in line with conversion rates for continuous target achievement)
q Achieve the targeted installation revenue on a monthly basis
q Achieve installation and AMR targets continuously
q Execute required conversion levels in campaign support or in managing business intelligence data sources
q To sell the required level of product mix in line with the sales persons targets

q Attend prospect premises to undertake surveys and progress sale.
q Achieving sales targets for the ADT SME solution through Evolve
q Present ADT as a credible and professional supplier of fire and security products.

q Maintain knowledge of products and services and industry developments.

q Minimum of 6-12 months experience in a face-to-face direct B2B sales environment.

q A levels or equivalent would be desirable
