This position will support the development of Next Generation Hoist Systems for commercial, military, regional and business applications.
Mechanical Systems Engineer shall be capable to ensure design activities transition between Brea and GEC India seamlessly, to support hoist projects related to the Next Generation Hoist. This person shall guide design activities, as an integrated team member of the Next Generation Hoist team. They should be able to capture and define the system architecture of the hoist design, and coordinate details among the main disciplines (software, electrical, mechanical). This person should be capable of developing the qualification plan for the hoist, and certification application on customer aircraft.
The Systems Engineer will need to work with limited written and verbal direction, monitor the work operations of team members, and be motivated to expand the product base of the Air Data product line by identifying high-value solutions for our customers.
Systems Engineering skills
•Skilled with systems engineering activities, including requirement development, verification/validation, qualification requirements,
•Familiar with DOORS tool or similar tool, and ability to create requirements specifications.
•serving as a liaison to prepare, track, and review RMS (Reliability, Maintainability and Systems Safety) impact due to changes in requirements, HW or SW changes.
•Experience in complete systems development life-cycle: design, development, integration, and testing is desirable.
Mechanical Systems Engineer
• Skilled in mechanical area to support:
o Hoist structural design & stress analysis specification (stress, vibration,...)
o Environmental testing, qualification testing
o Gears and screws system designing (to transmit mechanical power) & calculation specification (gears stress and fatigue)
o Experience with the following:
• power transmission (gearing)
• cable guide motion (gears and nut / screw)
• brake systems (nut / screw)
• microswitch box (worm gear and shaft + microswitch support)
• process knowledge on casting and machining
•Familiar with CAD systems (NX or Solidworks, or similar 3D CAD system)
•Familiar in detail drawings and tolerance stack up
- Exposure in modeling and detailing in UG Nx and/orSolidworks.
-Knowledge of DO-160 testing procedure in Aerospace domain will be an added advantage.
•capable to manage a design team in charge of doing detailed design and drawings, tolerance stack up, detailed drawing review
•capable of coordinating with multiple disciplines, functions, and customers
•skilled on sub-assemblies specification (starting from system specification input provided by Brea)
•Familiarity with complete product lifecycle development
•capable to drive FMEA activities with the support of a specialist
- BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering
-10-15 years industry experience
