GDMS has an opening for an Entry Level Systems Engineer to join a team of engineers that design and manufacture a range of high-assurance, ruggedized computer systems, including mission computers, platform computing, special-purpose supercomputers and signal processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Advanced Electrical Engineers design, develop systems, computers, and test electronic equipment at GDIAS including: digital computers, communications equipment and systems, circuitry components, radar and radiation detection equipment, and control and test equipment.

  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the General Dynamics Mission Systems culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems' services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices
A digital logic design resource is being sought for digital logic design activities targeting FPGAs for a military environment. The position requires familiarity with a variety of digital logic design techniques including FPGA, PWB, Module, Microcontrollers, DSPs and lab checkout. This position requires a self-starter, able to translate customer requirements into a cost-effective design that is optimized for manufacturing and periodic operational maintenance. The candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize while dealing with projects tasks.

Candidates must demonstrate a passion for innovation, an understanding of electronic equipment and systems, and the ability to further advance General Dynamics Mission Systems technology.

The Senior Advanced Engineer position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least fifteen years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in ASIC/FPGA Verilog HDL Digital Logic Design techniques, methodologies and related verification activities. Candidate is an expert with constraint generation for synthesis and timing closure techniques. The candidate has experience with high speed interfaces and a variety of memory subsystems. Candidate has design experience with various FPGAs and ASIC technologies. Candidate has participated in Module/PWB design and engineering lab checkout. Candidate has been the technical lead for various design and verification tasks. Occasional travel may be required.

Candidate should have experience with Microsoft Office tools, low level software languages and scripting languages. Candidate should also have good written, verbal and presentation communication skills and the ability to produce effective, clear and concise technical documentation.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. D
