Functions as a engineering and business leader in a role that is responsible for expanding Oil & Gas technology portfolio. Has demonstrated significant positive impact on business line and performed in management position establishing and assessing strategy. Establishes tactical direction with ability to evaluate technologies while including a regard for policy and procedure. |
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
As Technology Solutions Manager the ideal candidate will:
•Learn, understand, and maintain a fundamental knowledge of market assessments, customers, and technology needs for existing and new Oil & Gas business.
•Implement new technology and drive feasibility studies for developing new and innovative platforms for commercialization.
•Correspond with technology managers and Oil & Gas professionals to seek out, develop and evaluate new technologies.
•Supervise and lead an innovation team for idea generation and new technology pursuits.
•Evaluation of licensed technology providers for viability to advance EPC solutions.
•Investigate research institutions for new innovative technologies.
•Conduct market assessments to support new business initiatives including feed supply and product viability.
•Perform competitor profile and analysis.
•Develop financial analysis and economic models for new business ventures.
•Identify and assess potential risks for new technologies and appropriate mitigation plans.
•Prioritize, screen and select new technology offerings to ensure that they have the potential to add value for business growth.
•Engagement with legal for protection of intellectual property, due diligence and contract development.
•Participate in development and delivery of presentations for executive management approval.
•Provide reliable technical and financial assessments of potential alliances and acquisitions.
•BS, MS or PhD in Engineering, BS or MBA in Business or other relevant field
•12+ years of relevant experience
•Demonstrated track record of proven business results
•Solid understanding of engineering technical skills, risks, financials, economics, sales, and marketing as related to solution implementation and development.
•Demonstrated ability to identify and assess existing and emerging technologies.
•History of ability to think strategically and make decisions based on thorough research and analysis
