Responsibilities for this Position:

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Software (SW) Integrator/Analyst to join the Missile Defense National Team (MDNT). The position provides an opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Our employees work closely with the MDA to develop the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS); to include the deployment of the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communication (C2BMC) system. Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for developing software test plans/procedures for the conduct of software integration testing prior to delivery to Integration and Test (I&T). The engineer will also be responsible for development test integration and execution, detailed data analysis, and preparation of software test report. The candidate will report to the Development software integration lead.

Some travel will be required for this position to other C2BMC development locations in Alabama and Virginia, as well as possible travel to support installation and checkout at customer sites.

Basic Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Sec+ certification

  • Hands on Software Product Integration experience with complex Department Of Defense (DoD) systems

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word)

  • Experience with DoD software integration methodologies and terminology

  • Experience with Missile Defense Agency elements/components and associated test tools

  • Good system troubleshooting skills and a working knowledge of Command, Control, Battle Management and Communication (C2BMC)

  • Experience with operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot)

  • Experience with developmental systems (e.g., Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD))

  • Experience with with message formats (e.g., TADIL-J)

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment. The Candidate must be able to independently and cooperatively develop software test plans/procedures from sources such as functional/performance requirements and stated technical capabilities. The candidate will oversee the integration of the development test resources, execute these detailed test procedures, analyze test results, and present the test results both orally and in written format.

The Software (SW) Integrator/Analyst Engineer position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience and at least eight to ten years of related work experience. Applicants with a master's degree and a minimum of six to eight years of related experience are also eligible.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications (Preferred):

The selected candidate will have the following:

  • Domain expertise in the user interface, Warfighter interaction, and Command, Control, Battle Management and Communication (C2BMC) concept of operations

  • Experience with off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages
