General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Disseminate Tracks Capability Area Associate Analyst (DTC3A) to join the Missile Defense National Team (MDNT). The position provides an opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Our employees work closely with the MDA to develop the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS); to include the deployment of the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communication (C2BMC) system. Key Responsibilities
The Disseminate Tracks Capability Area Associate Analyst (DTC3A) will be responsible for detailed test planning and execution in a variety of environments/venues (stand-alone and integrated testing, in a laboratory, at a warfighter site, and in multi-element ground and flight tests). In this role you will:

  • Provide functional performance and characterization information based on qualitative and quantitative analysis, as appropriate

  • Be responsible for presenting this information, orally and/or in formal test reports

  • Serve as a member of the Missile Defense National Team Command, Control, Battle Management and Communication (C2BMC) National Team (NT), Integration and Test (I&T) Integrated Product Team (IPT)

  • Apply your technical skills to perform Disseminate Tracks Capability (DTC) Area requirements verification, Technical Performance Measure (TPM) verification, System Modification Request (SMR) testing, regression testing, and field and system test performance characterization and analysis

  • Be responsible for validating requirements as testable and developing test plans and detailed test procedures for verifying requirements

  • Generate requirements for the development of automated test and analysis tools, and system logging

  • Conduct troubleshooting in various venues to interpret performance anomalies encountered, collect and process data to determine the cause, and present results as a basis for corrective action.

Basic Qualifications:

The Disseminate Tracks Capability Area Associate Analyst (DTC3A) candidate must be comfortable performing as a single contributor and within a team environment. The analyst must be able to smoothly transition from a slow-paced methodical test and analysis tempo to an agile, think on your feet, results driven tempo. The candidate must excel at tying multiple data points into meaningful information.

The DTC3A candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in C omputer, Electrical, or Software engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related engineering discipline, a related specialty or the equivalent, and five to eight years of related experience; or Master's degree and three to five years of experience.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Some travel is required.

Qualifications (Preferred):

The selected candidate will have the following:

  • Experience with Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) elements or components

  • Experience with BMDS operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot, Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD)) test or operational environment

  • Experience with BMDS developmental systems (Sea-based X-Band Radar(SBX), Aegis Ashore) test or operational environment

  • Experience in the use of COTS modeling, simulation and analysis tools (e.g., S-Plus, Perl scripting, MATLAB)

  • Experience with the use of requirements traceability tools such as DOORS

  • Experience with the use of issue tracking tools such as Rational ClearQuest

  • Experience with the development/use of test software (e.g., use cases, test threads)
