Manages the supply, storage, transport and distribution of equipment, materials and goods used and produced by Tyco. Activities include materials control and planning; managing supplier relationships; logistics and supply-chain management; purchasing; and inventory control. Ensures all products and services are procured on time with right quality at most competitive value. |
Executes day-to-day transactions including Purchase Orders. Responsible for ensuring delivery of products or services to internal customers (i.e. requisitioners, factories, etc.). In some cases, manages local supplier sourcing & selection, including pricing negotiation and contract management. Responsible for aligning with local business activity and coordinating with
Commodity Management structure to drive centralized supply and supplier activities.
Manages and develops an inspired, diverse team across a multi-site location environment; creates personal development plans for team members to ensure continuous evolution and development of the team, and ensures full alignment with Tyco's corporate strategies.
Institutes and monitors appropriate controls to ensure processes and procedures are performed in a compliant manner; develops appropriate dashboards, metrics, and measures to identify ongoing areas for improvement across all facets of the procurement operation.
Coordinates all operational procurement activities; directly manages the systems, processes, and procedures governing the procurement of materials from the right suppliers at the right price, quality, and delivery requirements to support the business unit/manufacturing locations.
Seeks, identifies, and implements efficiency improvements continually, in line with strategic direction, DOA, and compliance boundaries.
Develops improvements in IT infrastructure to support procurement processes, eliminate NVA activities, and improve user/internal customer experience.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers/manufacturing locations.
Provides thought leadership and acts as a senior liaison/team lead for supply chain initiatives directly or indirectly impacting or relying on BU's, manufacturing sites & procurement support.
Drives & implements initiatives with regional entities to regulate supplier specific services or component volume allocations and terms, contract closure, and compliance with Tyco IP, security & privacy standards.
Leads “localized” sourcing activities where required; creates and manages sourcing pipeline, and delivers targeted savings projects; liaises with Global Commodity Manager to ensure support and cohesive strategy.
Leads effective cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and coordination of value added procurement activities.
Coordinates & drives corporate functions to drive excellent sourcing processes in all areas of spend.
Annual spend managed: Up to $100M and/or Complexity
Provides operational management for a small department.
Manage a team through application of broad knowledge of one discipline or basic knowledge of several disciplines
Initiates and implements continuous improvement opportunities
Applies and adapts global procedures & policies to the BU or site requirements
Experience (7 years functional experience & 2 years management experience)
