As a junior member of the HDS Desktop Engineering team, this position is responsible for assisting with support escalations from IT employees and the HDS user community for Macintosh workstations and mobile devices. Additionally, this role will assist with ongoing maintenance of the Casper and MobileIron infrastructures and act as backup for the Sr. Macintosh and Mobility Engineers. This position will also assist with the development and deployment of applications and solutions for HDS mobile devices and workstations worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have advanced troubleshooting knowledge of both Mac OS and iOS, and knowledge of Android and Windows/Windows Mobile OS's. The candidate will be expected to learn and embrace new technologies and have a desire to collaborate between teammates and other departments within and outside of IT.


• Provide professional and courteous Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting via chat, email, and telephone to employees and technicians
• Assist the Help Desk with troubleshooting of MobileIron registered mobile devices (iOS, Android, Windows)
• Assist the Help Desk with troubleshooting of Macintosh workstations
• Perform backup support for the MobileIron administrator on MDM related activities
• Perform backup support for the Casper administrator on JSS/Mac management related activities
• Respond to general IT/customer support escalations and jobs assigned to you
• Help Desktop Engineering further refine and develop best practices, standard operating procedures, and IT policy
• Create and update both internal IT and customer facing documentation
• Assist with OS X desktop management including patch management and application deployments
• Assist with maintenance of corporate Macintosh image
• Assist with creation/maintenance of JSS policies
• Assist with ongoing maintenance of Mac Management infrastructure

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of Mac OS and iOS
• Knowledge of Android or Windows mobile OS's
• 3-5 years experience troubleshooting and supporting Mac/iOS/mobile devices in a business or education environment
• Office 2011/2016 experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in a team-oriented, global, collaborative environment
• Some scripting experience (bash, shell, Python, AppleScript, PowerShell) preferred
• Experience with packaging, patching and deployment of applications is a plus
• Experience managing Apple devices with JAMF Casper Suite or similar management tool is a plus
• Experience with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) with an emphasis specifically on MobileIron, is a plus
• Windows 7/10 experience is a plus
