About the Business Line

Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an Electrical / I&C Engineer V to work at Nine Mile Point Station in New York. This is an immediate hiring need.

The successful candidate will develop design drawings for modification packages, select equipment, and prepare voltage drop calculations. The position will supervise and direct work of two onsite designers, coordinate independent reviews, assemble modification packages and will be responsible to interface with client's site personnel to secure approvals. The successful candidate will also provide on site client coordination to secure required approvals.

• Relocation benefits are not available for this position. Per Diem may be available for this position.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a four-year accredited college or university.
6 years of professional Electrical and / or I&C design engineering experience.
Previous experience with the development of electrical/ I&C design packages for modifications to plant systems
Previous supervisory experience and the ability to supervise 1-2 designers in the preparation of design drawings
Candidates must be able to prepare specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical write ups.
Candidates must be able and willing to work at the Plant Site in Lycoming, NY
Due to the nature of this work, candidates must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer License preferred.
Candidates who are experienced in the design and/or installation of fire detection systems are preferred.
Certification as fire protection specialist or registered fire protection engineer is preferred
Factory Trained in Siemens XLS fire finder hardware design/installation is preferred
Experience with NFPA 72 2013 code is preferred
