Mexico Regional Office is seeking a strong project engineer to drive electronics and special process transitions into Mexico suppliers utilizing the standard work process. |
Participate in the development and definition of the electronics and special process sourcing and manufacturing strategy. Manage and lead transition team activities. Lead cost reduction initiatives.
Lead Mexico Region initiatives for supplier development.
Support the suppliers to achieve the Quality, PPM's and OTD goals.
Participate in the creation and manage the delivery of the budget for project expenses.
Coordination with Global Regional Offices & Strategy team members on regional activity decision making based on applicable financial data to ensure the most cost effective and profitable activities for UTAS efforts.
Generation of data, preparation and presentation of various project activities to UTAS executive staff on a scheduled basis.
Key competency areas include strategic and analytical thinking, communication, business innovation, listening and focus on results.
SAP knowledge or expert a strong plus
Education: BS or BA required, MS or MBA a plus, PMP, Lean big Plus.
The successful candidate must possess skill in the areas of project management, team development, production, and have a solid understanding of electronics and special process parts.
The candidate must have electronics and special process experience in production, equipment, and development of new parts.
The candidate must be able to work cross functionally and cross culturally with ease.
The candidate must have the ability to fully understand and interact with manufacturing, process, quality and test engineering teams.
The candidate must have 7 years or more of operations experience.
The candidate must be bilingual English / Spanish
Travel: 25% - 40% In Mexico
