About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
The focus of this role will be to support a variety of projects in the transport, water and urban development markets located across Sydney and Australia. You will lead teams of professional engineers, scientists, technicians and support staff to deliver strategies and designs for water sensitive urban design (WSUD), catchment and stormwater site management, waterway and river engineering works including concept and detailed design of creek rehabilitation and landscape restoration, and water quality monitoring and assessment. The role will also involve leading and supporting business development activities, including client liaison and proposal preparation.

Your extensive experience in the areas described above means you will have the opportunity to provide direct supervision, leadership and mentoring of junior staff to assist in their professional development. The role also offers a significant opportunity to establish yourself within a diverse and growing team of water resources professionals, and to ultimately broaden your experience across the wider water resources sector.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or civil/environmental engineering.
  • At least 10 years post-graduate industry experience, most likely in consulting engineering or a similar local/state government role, with exposure to medium-large and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • Strong client focus, high level of motivation and dedication and the ability work well in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills,
  • An appetite for fast-paced major projects, and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • A keen interest in contributing to whole-of-catchment and integrated waterway/landscape restoration solutions.
  • High level of proficiency using water quality modelling software, in particular MUSIC and SOURCE, plus experience using industry-standard hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software packages (eg. DRAINS, WBNM, RAFTS, HEC-RAS and TUFLOW).
  • Experience using GIS (eg. MapInfo or ArcGIS) and/or CAD software.
  • Experience in assessing and delivering catchment / precinct scale stormwater / water quality / waterway health, strategies and management plans.
  • Experience in contributing to environmental impact assessments related to the drainage, flooding and water quality / waterway health aspects of major project.
