About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. Job Summary
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Training Analyst/Instructor in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will have experience, knowledge and competence to perform all aspects of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), as required by DOE 0 426.2 in support of a nuclear operating facility. Competencies include; Job and Task Analyses, Objective Design, course content and examination development and classroom and or field/work Instruction/Evaluation (OJT/OJE). The candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of formal and informal training and perform training determinations in ascertaining whether or not information and or skills require formal or informal training. The candidate will be proficient with DOE 0 426.2, DOE-STD 1070-94 and DOE-HDBK 1078-94. Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovativeness. Work under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively. Strong report writing and record keeping ability. Good computer and database skills. The Analyst/Instructor will receive MSHA Safety training in order to perform underground facility walk-downs, from which they will use their observations to incorporate human factors standards, performance capabilities and technical accuracy.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of experience in a related field.
  • Associate Degree with seven (7) years of related experience
  • Three years in a DOE or Commercial nuclear facility.
  • Less than three years DOE or Commercial facility is acceptable if at least five years working/teaching one or more of the topics listed: Confined Space, Hoisting and Rigging, LOTO, Scaffold Use-Erection and Inspection, Powered Industrial Trucks, Mobile and Overhead Cranes, Fall Protection, Mine Safety, Electrical Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance or Instrument and Calibration, Radiological Safety.
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be U.S. Citizens

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous WIPP site experience is preferred.
