WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff is leading a multidisciplinary team to manage the construction contracts that are to be awarded by MTACC for Phase 1 of the Second Avenue Subway Project. We have an immediate opportunity for a Construction Manager - Transit Stations (Senior Engineering Manager) to join this team.

The Construction Manager- Transit Stations will provide strong leadership to a multidisciplined staff of Resident Engineers, Office Engineers, Field Engineers, and Project Support staff. This role will involve elements of various disciplines - electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and architectural. This is a key position, important to the success of this project.

Responsibilities include:
      • Managing technical/field staff
      • Performing duries relating to various elements of the project e.g. inspection, quality control, project documentation and reporting, etc.
      • Supervising construction engineering and inspection activities
      • Supervising field inspection and field office personnel
      • Representing projects at meetings and conferences
      • Performing other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
      • Bachelor of Science degree in a related Engineering field (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) or Construction Management
      • 20+ years of relevant experience
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Proven leadership abilities
      • A demonstrated record of performance in managing $100+ million-dollar construction contracts
      • A proven ability to manage a multi-discipline staff
      • An overall knowledge of transit station construction (including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and architectural finishes)
      • Working proficiency in typical computer based management and Microsoft office suite of products
      • Ability to interface with client management team and commissioning team
Preferred Qualifications:
      • Previous Transit station construction experience with testing and commissioning experience
      • P.E. (NYS) or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months of hire
      • Previous experience on new station construction projects
      • Local candidates preferred
The ability to work in the United States immediately is required.
