WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff is seeking a motivated Construction Inspector (Supervising Inspector) for various transportation improvement construction projects in the San Francisco Bay area, working from our Antioch, CA office. Professionals at this office have worked on projects such as the Napa Bridge Replacement Program, Yerba Buena Island Ramps project, and the widening of State Route 4 in Antioch.

Job Duties:
      • Read and interpret project plans and specifications, monitor construction for compliance with project documents, on-site material soils, asphaltic concrete sampling & testing and concrete compression samples.
      • Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures using client computer programs.
      • Inspect bridge construction (based on Caltrans Standards)

Job Requirements
      • High school diploma along with some technical courses
      • A minimum of 10 years of experience inspecting bridges constructed to Caltrans standards
      • Ability to read construction plans, knowledge of construction materials, and a good driving record.
      • Knowledge of Caltrans document procedures and computer programs for Daily Diaries, Quantity payment processes (CPE System) Supplemental Agreements (SATS) Manpower Management Program, and Material Logging.
      • Ability to travel to construction sites (local)
The ability to work in the United States immediately is required. As this is an immediate need, local candidates are strongly preferred. The selected candidate must be available to work in the San Francisco Bay area within 2 weeks or less of being selected for the position. No housing or relocation assistance available.
