We are seeking an Operations Manager for the Mid-Atlantic area of WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff Construction Services (CS), this position will be responsible for managing the operations functions for our Construction Services Group.

Job Duties include:
      • Development of pricing structures
      • Client contract negotiations
      • Procurement and installation of project-related facilities and equipment
      • Assistance in field office set-up and initiation of project delivery audit process
      • Support of CS project managers with routine operational issues
      • Routine client contact to ensure their satisfaction with WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff's performance.

The Operations Manager may also provide staffing assistance for projects and be responsible for assisting in the monitoring of construction project budget(s) and schedule(s). This person will perform these functions on multiple construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic area for a variety of clients.

Job Requirements
      • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or closely-related major) or equivalent education and experience
      • Ten (10) years of experience in transportation engineering, including a minimum of seven (7) years of experience working on construction services projects (e.g. roadway/highway, bridge, structures, aviation, buildings, etc.)
      • Procurement and related knowledge and experience
      • Strong communication skills, including the ability to negotiate contracts
      • Proven ability to interact well with both internal and external stakeholders
      • Strong project management skills
      • Strong leadership and organizational skills +
      • Strong knowledge of region to be managed
Desired Qualifications:
      • Experience as a Field Engineer in a Project Manager, Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer, and/or Project Engineer/ Assistant Project Engineer role on construction projects
      • Two years of experience in an Office Engineer or Operations role in the construction field
      • VDOT project experience
      • A Professional Engineer's License (P.E.)
The selected candidate must have the ability to work in this country immediately.
