WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff's New York Office is seeking a Procurement Specialist (Purchasing Manager).

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the preparation and processing of procurement documentation related to design and construction changes for New York City Transit projects. Coordination with multiple stakeholders, including the Construction Manager, Design Consultant, the construction contractor and the NYCT procurement department in order to expedite the process is a top priority for this position.

The Procurement Specialist must be highly-organized and knowledgeable of NYCT procurement and contract modification procedures.

Job Duties:
      • Managing, tracking, reporting and expediting numerous concurrent contract changes.
      • Scope development, document preparation and cost negotiations.
      • Modification procedures.
      • Managing and tracking multiple concurrent contract changes including scope development, cost negotiations, and tracking progress through the approval process.

Job Requirements
      • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering or a closely-related major required.
      20 years of related experience working on MTA/NYCT projects.
      • Local candidates preferred. Selected candidate must be able to work in NYC within two weeks of hire.
      • The ability to work in the United States immediately is required.
