WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff is leading a multidisciplinary team to manage various bridge and roadway rehabilitation projects throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC. We have an opportunity for a Resident Engineer to join this team. This person will help to manage projects ranging from $5-$20M in construction, providing oversight of field activities and a staff of office engineers and inspectors.

Job Duties:
      • Preparing monthly reports
      • Reviewing work product prepared by office engineers, DBE compliance personnel inspection staff and community outreach personnel
      • Monitoring contractor's field construction activities for compliance with plans, specs and permits
      • Attending meetings, recording meeting minutes, and assisting in project coordination with all stakeholders
      • Confirming Contractor compliance with Plans, specifications, Construction Contract, and other requirements
      • Maintaining excellent relationships with client staff

Job Requirements
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction
      • Current Professional Engineering license (P.E.)
      • 10 years of Resident Engineering and Inspection experience in bridge and roadway projects, including a background in both field inspection and office engineering
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Proven leadership abilities
Desired Qualifications:
      • Previous experience as a Resident Engineer on bridge and roadway rehabilitation projects in NYC
      • Previous experience on NYCDOT projects
The ability to work in the United States immediately is required. Local candidates are preferred. Candidates MUST be available to start work in NYC within 2-3 weeks of being selected for the role.
