Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager to be based in one of our project site locations.

The Construction Manager will report to a Project Manager and will lead a core group of construction professionals executing installation of a Combine Cycle Power Plant in support of the Client's mission of safe, economical power generation.

Under general direction, the CM is fully responsible for planning, mobilizing, executing and demobilizing field operations with a specific emphasis on project cost, schedule performance, safety and quality compliance, field procurement, and monitoring field construction operations for the assigned project.

Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance.

Participates in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.

Will be responsible for managing very large and/or complex construction projects.

Conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard construction techniques.

Will be required to travel and/or will be based at a field site.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

Construction Manager II and III
  • Bachelor's degree in a Construction related discipline or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • Extensive construction experience as a Site or Construction Manager.
  • Extensive construction and project related professional experience with recent experience (within the past 5 years) managing Combined Cycle and/or Gas Turbine power projects, preferably fixed price projects. Demonstrated ability to work on unusually complicated projects.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of all engineering disciplines, construction technologies and job site management techniques.
  • Experience supervising a professional construction staff that requires a full knowledge of safety and quality regulations, schedule and cost control methodology, productivity monitoring, earned value and procurement functions is required.
  • Experience managing craft worker policies and procedures, with an understanding of national union labor agreements is necessary.
