The successful candidate will work closely with the Office Managing Director in regards to opportunities and projects within various market sectors with an emphasis on sustainability in the New York City area. In this position the successful candidate will be expected to lead the design on specific projects as well as lead a larger multi-discipline team directly interfacing with clients. They should have extensive experience in design of large scale complex projects with experience that includes active participation from the design phase through the final construction close-out.
The successful candidate will regularly meet with clients, organize and coordinate in-house resources with the technical department heads, develop project proposals and budgets, mentor and train staff, and prepare technical reports/specifications. The individual will be tasked with contributing to the overall business development and operation of the office.
The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to our clients. Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a network of client relationships such that we receive RFP's for new and repeat business and leads for other project opportunities. With the assistance of our marketing department and the support of the SVP's, prepare responses to RFPs including preparation of technical fee proposals, preparation, participation and delivery of interviews and marketing qualification packages. Participate in internal marketing meetings to coordinate business development activities with other offices, and assist other offices as required in the pursuit and implementation of work.
