About the Job

The ideal candidate brings significant consulting experience and client relationships and will provide leadership, strategic direction, and technical support to grow WSP's Environmental Transaction Services practice. As a senior leader, you will be fully accountable for successfully selling and consulting on environmental projects to build a sustainable business nationally, while networking with WSP's global services to share best practices across the industry. Responsibilities Include
      • Attract new clients, ensure customer satisfaction and build strong client relationships
      • Take charge of the development of new business with new and existing clients
      • Meet business financial targets
      • Prepare effective technical and price proposals
      • Lead the strategic planning process for the practice
      • Collaborate with other WSP practitioners to execute environmental services, including participating on teams comprised of professionals from multiple offices around the US and the globe
      • Oversee multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables
      • Serve as a role model to technical staff
      • Adhere to all company policies and accounting requirements
      • Position could be located anywhere for the right candidate

Job Requirements
      • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental sciences, business or a related field (MS degree preferred)
      • 15+ years of experience in the environmental consulting field working with legal and financial firms, and corporations
      • 10+ years of experience managing transaction services projects, including large portfolio projects
      • Proven business development experience for large, global transaction portfolios and client relationships supported by repeat business
      • Consistent "seller/doer" with a demonstrated track record of delivering personal multi-million dollar annual sales
      • Business intuition to understand the risks and challenges faced by the buyer
      • Solid understanding of environmental risks and liabilities associated with transactions including estimating costs associated with EHS compliance and remediation
      • Must be capable of working independently with minimal direct supervision
      • Experience in working with multi-cultural project teams
      • Team-oriented with excellent writing and presentation skills
      • Responsive to client requests and able to effectively manage multiple projects
      • Demonstrated technical aptitude
