Program, Cost, Consultancy
We provide cost and project management services, and specialist consultancy services, to public- and private-sector clients around the world, with a strong presence in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

Job Summary
Our London Health, Education and Public Sector Cost Management business unit continues to grow, successfully securing projects with many high profile clients and some key London programs including the Parliamentary Estate and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. As a direct result of this growth, we are currently seeking a full time Associate with Public sector experience.

The successful candidate will be someone who is looking to progress to being a Director within a set timescale, subject to performance. The role will therefore include taking responsibility for care and growth of existing clients and (with support) gaining new clients and business.

Given the variety of Public sector clients, your sector experience will include a blend of commercial, industrial, science, blue light and health building types, both new and refurbished projects, including some heritage buildings. Experience required of cost planning, procurement and post contract with various contract types including NEC3. Security clearance an advantage

As an Associate, you will be working alongside a Director to successfully manage and deliver various projects generally across the Greater London region. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception and business case estimates, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and the commissioning phase.

You will possess the skills and experience to actively support the internal team and manage more junior staff on technically complex projects typically ranging between £2m to £30m. You will help develop collaborative relationships with our clients and other professional colleagues within the industry. You will have day to day client point of contact responsibility for projects. The successful candidate will be organised and self motivated, being able to successfully work with the minimum supervision.

Minimum Requirements
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes. Understands and can demonstrate the importance of Client focus.
Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Sectors highlighted above from inception to completion.
Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.
Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or within a client organisation.
Previous experience of managing internal resources, including the training and mentoring of more junior staff members.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Qualified - ideally Quantity Surveying Degree
  • Chartered Status with the RICS or other equivalent institution
  • Good Understanding of contracts (NEC3, JCT, etc…)
  • CSCS card holder
