About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
Perform operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, onboard maintenance training, assessment, inspection, groom, calibration, removal/installation, overhaul, repair, restoration/refurbishment, modernization, and/or upgrade of Navy surface combatant ship Extremely High Frequency (EHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Broadband Satellite Communications systems.
Write technical, debrief, and trip reports.
Conduct oral debriefings to management and technical personnel.
Experience on the following surface ship systems/equipment or related/equivalent systems/equipment:
The contractor shall perform electronic, electrical and mechanical assessments, alignments and fault corrections; and inspections on communications equipment including, but not limited to:
a. AN/USC-38 EHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
b. AN/WSC-6 SHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
c. AN/WSC-8 SHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
d. AN/WSC-3 UHF Line of Sight Radio, all variants and antenna's
e. AN/WSC-3 UHF SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
f. A/L-7204 TV-DTS, all variants and antenna's
g. AN/USC-61 DMR SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
h. AN/USC-69 CBSP SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
i. AN/WSC-9 NMT SATCOM Radio, all variants and antenna's
j. ON-762/U Advance Time Division Multiple Access Interface Processor (ATIP)
k. OK-454/455 DAMA
l. AN/USQ-145 MD 1325 (5KHZ)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Must have successfully completed U.S. Navy or USCG ET Extremely High Frequency (EHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Broadband Satellite Communications Systems system/equipment "A" and/or "C" school or equivalent hands-on experience.
Minimum of six (6) years actual hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of Navy surface SATCOM systems and associated equipment including performing electronic, electrical and mechanical assessments, alignments and fault corrections including (concurrently) a minimum of three (3) years hands-on experience on AN/USC-38 (EHF), AN/WSC-6 (SHF), and AN/WSC-3 (UHF) SATCOM Radios and antennas
Must be capable of using and reading technical operation and maintenance documentation and manuals, blueprints, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and data tables.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of technical publications related to Navy surface ship combat and/or electronic systems.
Must be able to communicate effectively in written and oral expression.
Must know theory of electrical and electronic principles.
