About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
AECOM is seeking a Supply Technician to p rovide on-site support to input and monitor computer data into automated systems; work under limited supervision; perform related tasks as required for Surface Combat Weapons Systems.
Place material orders for parts, supplies, and services in support of various Combat Systems Programs.
Track all items in a computer database as to date ordered, shipped, and received
Receive and ensure items are transferred to the proper individual.
Maintain communication with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) customer account specialists, supply support center personnel, business office and financial departments.
Track ship repair parts data related to the Combat Systems Division.
Process repair parts data and Material Condition Review results using computer software to maintain a database.
The applicant will be required to perform the following tasks:
1. As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
2. Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
3. Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
4. Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
5. Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
6. Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
7. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
8. Perform miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
9. Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment.
