About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary
Under direct supervision, responsible for providing support to end-user community on hardware, software and network related problems, questions, and use. Install, monitor and direct the operations of Local Area Networks. Provide support and advice to local users and diagnose and resolve LAN performance and operating problems.

Essential Responsibilities:
      1. Install and maintain LAN hardware and software components. Provide problem resolution to users.
      2. Walk through steps to diagnose, repair, assemble and upgrade LAN hardware and software.
      3. Establish and maintain LAN users, and their environments, directories and security.
      4. Monitor and adjust LAN operating environment to ensure optimum performance.
      5. Respond to needs/questions of network users concerning access to resources on the LAN.
      6. Provide training to users on LAN applications and operations.
      7. Provide connectivity to other outside resources or network as necessary.
      8. Maintain and establish a filing system for tracking and inventory control of hardware and software systems and equipment.
      9. Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures.
      10. Maintain liaison with outside hardware and software vendors for system upgrades and maintenance.
      11. Provide technical assistance and informal training in implementing network programs based on user requirements.
      12. Ensures LANs and PCs are working effectively and efficiently. Develops LAN operability improvements as required.
      Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

      Minimum Requirements
      1. TS/SBI SCI Clearance Required
      2. BS in Computer Science or related field and 0 - 2 years of related experience. Direct experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree on case-by-case-basis.
      3. Must have a wide range of skills and knowledge in computer hardware and software as well as networking systems in use at customer sites.
      4. Requires experience in the set-up, configuration, use, and trouble shooting of computers.

      Preferred Qualifications
      Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
