Purpose of Role
To support the Business Development Director and other members of the business development team in the generation, management and conversion of a sustainable pipeline of work that reflects the implementation of appropriate action plans through a variety of sources but primarily through identification of, and engagement with Tier 2 customers and their stakeholder teams. Where appropriate supporting Bid and Commercial Teams in the conversion of these opportunities to contract.
• Accountable for specific areas of responsibility and deliverables and manages the associated risks - Inputs to planning activities through timely customer and client feedback - Manages, through direction from the Senior Business Development Manager, activities to support the customer throughout the contract delivery - Operates within agreed operational and/or management guidelines - Interacts with clients or users around specific work efforts and deliverables and maintains effective internal and external relationships - Developing relationships with clients that will optimise new business opportunities within area of responsibility focusing particularly on the customer’s and project’s objectives - Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards - Manages the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility
