This position is for the Engine & Environmental Control System group at Global Engineering Center - India based at Bangalore.
Execution of Engineering Projects:
1)Lead a team of software engineers in design and Verification Avionics software.
2)Performs joint development of new aircraft systems with existing and new customers.
3)Defines system interfaces and performs aircraft and HW/SW integration testing to those interfaces.
4)Consistently estimate effort and specify schedules for software development and V&V activities.
5)Collect metrics and monitor progress of all activities.
• Performs the full life-cycle development tasks with minimal amount of supervision and direction from the engineering manager
• Mentors and train engineers to improve their creativity, thoroughness, and technical savvy.
• Responsible for recruitment, retention and career development of team members.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1)Full knowledge of the software life cycle development process.
2)Understanding of the impact of the certification environment on development methods and software testing.
3)Knowledge of the certification environment such as DO 178-B, FAA, EASA.
4)Broad exposure to a wide variety of tools and understand purpose and application of tools to the software life cycle phases.
5)Development of system description documents, certification test plans, common - mode analyses and other documents required for aircraft certification.
Experience working with US Customers/ Working Experince in USA.
Bachelor of Engineering (BE/BTech,.) degree in Electronics or Computer Science Engineering with atleast 10 years of experience in the Aerospace/Avionics Industry.
