Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a full-time Deputy Railroad Construction Manager (Railroad Force Account) professional for the New York, New York office. This candidate will be responsible for providing management and resolving issues for the railroad construction team on all matters related to Amtrak Force Account construction. This position is part of the Construction Management team on the MTA Capital Construction East Side Access Project, a multi-billion dollar rail improvement project improving mobility within the Long Island Transportation Corridor - specifically commuter rail access between Long Island and the East Side of Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Managing assigned Amtrak Force Account resources in support of the Harold Construction Manager
  • Reporting on project status and current issues to the Harold Construction Manager
  • Reviewing and recommending approval for all Amtrak F/A construction invoices
  • Coordinating constructability field construction issues between Amtrak and the GEC
  • Monitoring and reporting on Amtrak field construction activities to track scope, schedule and budget
  • Supporting preparation of monthly field construction reports
  • Working closely with field engineers to compile production rates
  • Coordinating work planning activities with Amtrak Ensuring all necessary resources are planned for and onsite prior to commencement of work
  • Attending weekly track outage meetings to coordinate track requirements for planned construction work

Minimum Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in railroad construction management in the fields of engineering/architectural/transportation/construction
  • OSHA 30 hour certification
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
