Essential duties and responsibilities include:' Must be able to identify parts for plating through the production traveler line-up and by visual preparedness' Must be able to read and determine the necessary set-up, (racking) situations for plating parts per plating techniques or special instructions' Must show the ability to rack parts for all plating requirements using wrenches or hand held power tools' Must show the ablility to understand and perform masking techniques to ensure plating quality' Must be able to maintain production rates to ensure proper plating requirements' Must be able to wear a demand respirator' Must understand basic principals of all nickel plating processes' Perform all duties as assigned or directed by supervisor.' Must have basic knowledge of gagging' Must perform all job duties as assigned by supervisor' Must show the ability to understand and perform masking techniques to ensure plating quality' Must be able to maintain production rates to ensure proper plating requirements' Must be able to pass tow motor and hand truck certification. |
Requirements:Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this position, the person is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The person is occasionally required to sit. The person must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust NA Environment:While performing duties of this position, the person is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts; precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually in the range of 85 dBA or NA TrainingBefore performing the duties of this position, the person will be trained to handle and manage the hazardous wastes that may be found in their work environment. All employees will be trained in MSDS's, labeling, hoist and sling operation, the use of industrial trucks, and hazardous communication. This training will be given on the employees start date and annually thereafter when applicable.
