About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Project Manager responsible for the planning, design and construction phases of public works projects in El Paso, Texas.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Serving as the technical lead for multi-disciplinary teams to undertake water and wastewater treatment and pumping projects
  • Directing and managing the implementation of the project including coordination with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors and other external and internal parties to achieve project milestones
  • Preparing technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications
  • Managing project deliverables, budgets, and schedules
  • Ensuring compliance with the company's quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Overseeing and managing construction phases of projects to ensure works are completed, in accordance with the contract documents, on time and within budget
  • Ensuring project work is undertaken in accordance with corporate health and safety policies and quality management systems
  • Preparing proposals and qualification documents in the interest of obtaining new assignments
  • Maintaining client relationships and assisting in the identification and pursuit of business development opportunities

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 years of related experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Texas
  • Experience managing and/or designing water and/or wastewater pumping, treatment and conveyance projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver on time and within budget
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of local codes, development processes, and utility regulations
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • 12 years of related experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience with El Paso, Texas-area clients
  • Experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors
  • Good writing skills in producing technical reports
