About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary
This position is located in Mannheim, Germany and is contingent upon contract award.

The Quality Control (QC) Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day QC activities for the APS2 - European Activity Set - effort for the location.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Performs activities for the location as directed to ensure quality standards are in compliance with company and contractual requirements.
  2. Maintains compliance with all company and customer contract processes and regulations.
  3. Adheres to quality requirements established under the ISO.
  4. Ensures records maintained are current and accurate.
  5. Conducts special evaluations, quality surveys and audits as required.
  6. Compile reports and findings of surveys and audits for review as required.
  7. Utilizes analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis.
  8. Recommends improvement opportunities identified as a result of quality activities.
  9. Provides required reports and deliverables in a timely manner.

Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in quality control in an industrial environment.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instruction in QC.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the applicable processes and related regulations.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills.
  • Skill and knowledge of the automated systems utilized.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred
