Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an Operational Safety Manager to be based in Jersey City, NJ at the Hudson Bergen Light Rail project location.
  • Under minimal supervision, manages, develops and implements ES&H programs.
  • Supervises Environmental Safety and Health Specialists assigned to the same project(s).
  • Performs work, which involves a variety of functions that require a broad range of expertise and excellent communication skills.
  • May be responsible for an ES&H program on a large, specialized, complex project or multiple projects.
  • All others duties as assigned.

All internal candidates interested in applying must have a clean discipline record for the previous year (from 06/02/2015 to 06/02/2016).
Internal craft candidates interested in applying must have completed the probationary period, if applicable, for the position they currently maintain as specified in the agreement between AECOM and TWU Local 229.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, or an applied science field or demonstrated equivalent.
  • This is a safety management level position with 8 years of safety experience.
  • Candidate must possess a valid Driver's License, with no suspensions or moving violations within the last 3 years.
  • A Certified Drivers Abstract is required to validate driving records .
  • CSP is required for this position.
  • OSHA 40 Hours required.

Additional Information:
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • Relocation and per diem support are not available for this position.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to legally drive a motor vehicle.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for Unites States work authorization.
