This is an exciting opportunity in Shoreview, MN for a IT BI Manager working with OBIEE Business Intelligence Applications.

Thinking beyond your desk includes:

  • Manages a group of intermediate level IT employees
  • Participate as a key member of an IT Management Team.
  • Responsible for financial management including AOP, budget management, and forecasting.
  • Responsible for People Management including work plan development, performance management, and people development.
  • Responsible for team building and development including organization structure, recruiting, global team management.
  • Compile and present Management Reports on team performance including metrics, deliverable status, etc.
  • Communicate status to senior management.
  • Accountable for Six Sigma training, usage and goal attainment for the team.
    Ensure team adherence to all IT processes, policies, and procedures including IT Security.
  • Responsible of IT Controls compliance for the team
  • Engagement with customers in their respective function or business area.
    Governance/Leadership for all program/projects executed or supported by their teams.


Our ideal candidate would have these skills and professional experience:

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.
  • Manufacturing domain knowledge (Customer, Product, Sales, Orders, Purchasing, Financial, Distribution etc...)
  • Good understanding of emerging BI technology and Industry trends
  • Develop Strategic roadmap for BI aligned to strategic business principles
  • Good knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and business process KPIs
  • Interface with corporate architecture and BI teams to ensure technology and process alignment
  • Ensure services maintained in line with SLA and co-ordinate business/systems recoveries
Technical experience/Management experience
  • 10 years of experience in managing BI programs and projects with at least 5 years in management positions
  • Detailed knowledge and experience defining IT OBIEE application architecture strategy and its alignment to business strategy
  • Data architecture/design aligned to business process with appropriate controls and data security.
  • Hands on knowledge in data extraction tools like Informatica/PL/SQL to review the code
  • Application interface design - to support common system data migration/sharing
  • Knowledge of application functions and process for generic enterprise application, specifically OBIEE, Oracle E-Business suite plus range of financial and management reporting systems.
  • Business intelligence applications - detailed knowledge of the functionality and modules available to management and Exec systems reporting - specifically, OBIEE, Noetix, MSBI
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
