We are currently looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Consultant to join our dynamic and talented Environment, Planning and Stakeholder Engagement team in Sydney. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, listener and who has the ability to foster mutual respect and trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The Role
As a Stakeholder Engagement Consultant you will have between 5 to 10 years' experience and be responsible for working as part of team supporting the delivery of engagement activities and communications objectives on infrastructure projects. You will assist in the development of strategies, engage with key stakeholders and community members, manage stakeholder databases, write reports, conduct research and prepare community information and engagement materials to support the advancement of these projects. We are looking for someone who also has a willingness to learn new skills and grow professionally in a well-supported team environment.

Skills and Requirements:
      • Previous experience working in a similar stakeholder or community engagement role (either consulting, government or industry)
      • Relevant experience working on land use planning or infrastructure projects with complex stakeholder and community engagement requirements, preferably in the transport, power and water industries
      • Understanding of the principles of effective stakeholder engagement.
      • Formal qualifications preferably in social science, planning, communications and/or demonstrated equivalent qualification and experience.
      • Capacity to prepare communication materials and translate technical information into a format that is understandable.
      • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work with and feel comfortable working with a diverse range of stakeholders on sensitive issues.
      • Strong organisational skills, a proactive nature and disposition.
      • Flexibility and ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours as well as a willingness to work from and/or travel to varying locations throughout NSW for extended periods of time
      • Have a valid driver's licence.
