Commissioning Engineer (Integration)
High value, low volume electromechanical Engineering
The Application Integration Engineer is responsible for setting up, configuring and testing all PLC, HMI, workstations, computer and network systems required for the machinery.
+ Setup, configure and test reconstruction and threat detection engines (SW and HW)
+ Setup, configure and test PLC and HMI (SW and HW)
+ Install and test complex matrix systems –e.g. computer workstations, servers, switches, etc. (SW and HW)
+ Lead system start up and testing within production environment
+ Lead and perform the Image Quality (IQ) machine configuration process
+Assist and/or lead customer and internal FAT with QA organisation
+ Develop production testing and start up procedures
+ Develop debugging documentation for start-up and testing of the system
+ Support the development of work instructions
+ Support the improvement of the facility, including implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, NCP, Kaizan
+ Comply with Health and Safety policies
+ Any other ad hoc tasks requested by Management
Experience and Attributes:
+ 5 years experience with PLC and complex IT systems
+ Ability to work quickly and accurately
+ Adaptability, good communication skills
+ Ability to work accurately to procedures to produce work of consistent high quality
+ Able to integrate well into an established team supporting and assisting colleagues.
Circa £30-35,000 plus benefits.
