Due to the continuous success of our ANZ operations, we're looking for an energetic and ambitious Principal Environmental Scientist/ Planner to join our growing Environment team in our Sydney office. This role gives the successful candidate the opportunity to work within multi-disciplinary teams and establish a successful environmental business.

You will have a track record in delivering projects while focusing on time, budget and quality outcomes, leading others in doing the same. As a senior member of the team, you will have a range of impressive government and industry networks. A passion for winning work and strong commercial ability to deliver or direct complex projects to our clients' expectations is expected.

The successful Consultant will work on a variety of environmental impact assessment and management projects within transport, mining, water and energy markets and also assist in the preparation of project proposals. Demonstrated experience in environmental impact assessment and management, delivery of large environmental impact statements (EIS) and a strong understanding of NSW and Commonwealth regulatory frameworks is essential.

Essentials are:

      • 10+ years' experience with min of 5 years consulting experience;
      • Proven experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental planning approvals or strategic environment assessments;
      • Experience gained in environmental regulatory approvals for large infrastructure projects with a focus on the transport sector;
      • Relevant NSW client networks across transport, property and energy sectors;
      • Proven business development capabilities;
      • Strong commercial acumen;
      • Degree qualified.

An environmental science, planning or engineering qualification from a recognised tertiary education establishment is essential.
