Our leading global client requires experienced Compressor Field Service Representatives with Angolan Residency for these staff positions in Angola

Field Service Representatives - Compressors

• Dynamic customer focused individual who has the drive and ability to operate confidently and independently, providing installation, commissioning, operational
and maintenance support for the company datum compressors, centrifugal compressors, legacy turbo machinery, and expanders. (and associated equipment as required).

• The position will predominately be based in offshore Angola

• Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):


• Technically proficient in the Installation & Commissioning, Maintenance and Repair of the company centrifugal compressors, legacy turbo machinery, and expanders (and associated equipment as required)

• 5 years' experience specialising in power generation maintenance

• Additional consideration given to candidates who are OEM trained

Experienced in Compressor installation & commissioning (I&C), and post the I&C work

• Technically proficient in the Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance and Repair of the Compressors and associated equipment

• Good knowledge of spoken and written English

• Good problem solving, decision making and analytical skill with attention to details

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Effective computer skills;

• Microsoft Office software, and other Company and discipline specific software applications


• Capable of preparing thorough job planning to include organization of parts and tools

• Ability to perform warehousing and parts management/ stock control

• Capable of succeeding in a wide range of assignments for the In-Service Support Contract

• Proactive, self-starter with strong organizational skills

• Willingness to learn and become proficient in relevant technologies

• Excellent team player

• Result oriented, customer first attitude

• Highly skilled in troubleshooting, problem analysis and solution development

• Capable of working safely and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain and repair and perform regular inspections on company datum compressors, centrifugal compressors, legacy turbo machinery, and expanders. (and associated equipment as required)

• Assist with technical leadership to personnel performing work on the company equipment to assure that planned procedures are consistent with technical specifications, safety requirements and contracted requirements and all other OEM requirements

• Direct and coordinate the job training programs and instruction of craftsmen and company trainees / Junior / Local FSRs on the operation and maintenance of all Compressors and its auxiliary systems

• Provide opportunities for training and development of employees under his direction/mentoring (with emphasis on Angola Nationals) and assesses their progress, this include on-the-job training, counselling and proper work delegation;

• Provide regular written and verbal assessments on the activities and competencies of company employees under their Supervision

• Prepare Job Plans, Work Packs and organise tools and parts

• Manage parts inventory and logistics

• Participate in all company HQSE initiatives and work safely and ensure the safety of others

• Co-operate fully with any safety and environmental investigations

• Comply with Local and International legislation, company policies and procedures

• Work on an as-needed on-call basis (when not engaged on regular rotation)

• Support work domestically/ in the region / internationally as and when required

• Manages and controls the activities of Compressor Maintenance Technicians / FSR's

• Provide technical support, analysis, and troubleshooting

• Co-ordinates the planning and implementation of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work

• Plan, supervise, monitor, and perform daily operations for all compressors and associated packaged equipment

• Monitors equipment and systems to ensure that the required performance is maintained

• Liaises with onshore engineers regarding maintenance issues

• Ensures the effective working of the Permit to Work system

• Ensures the plant, processes and equipment are functioning efficiently

• Liaise with the Site Manager regarding client requirements

• Attend client progress meetings (where requested)

• Compile daily, weekly, and summary reports (company &/or Customer/Company)

• Complete timesheets (company &/or Customer/Company)
