About the Business Line
We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution.

Job Summary
The Power & Industrial Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Project Manager professional for immediate employment in either the Boston, MA or Chelmsford, MA office locations (candidate's choice).

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing transmission line and substation engineering and construction projects
  • Ensuring all assigned projects are accomplished within scope, time and budget constraints
  • Leading the project planning process including initiation, design, engineering, material procurement, construction, commissioning and close out
  • Managing project implementation including project schedule, project budget and the project resources including external vendors and contractors
  • Directing project team and leading the project management process
  • Will interface and communicate with client and participate in proposal development efforts
  • Will be responsible for metrics tracking, associated reporting to stakeholders and compliance with regulatory, corporate and department procedures during all the phases of the project

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent industry related experience) in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of project management experience within the electric power industry
  • Experience in electric power infrastructure projects including project management and/or project lead engineering experience on large/complex projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project scopes of work, budgets, schedules, including project reporting
  • Experience with direct client interface and contract management
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
  • Knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
  • Strong writing and verbal communications skills
  • Periodic travel is required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • 15 years of project management experience
  • Experience in project management controls
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Sustainability, resiliency and/or climate adaptation experience a plus but not a requirement
