Facilities Management Director (Contingency Hire)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Facilities Management Director (FM) is responsible for the overall management of the Facilities Management and Engineering programs and serves as the annex manager for all Annex 15 sub-annexes. The roles of the FM are (1) planning and overseeing building maintenance work and renovations, (2) financial forecasting/budgeting, (3) ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards, (4) coordinating cleaning services, (5) allocating and managing space within buildings, (6) coordinating physical moves, (7) ensure security of the facilities, and managing government-furnished property. In performing these duties the FM supervises multi-disciplinary teams of staff including maintenance, grounds and custodial workers. As a degreed engineer, the FM also provides engineering support and services for the direction, control and appraisal of the planning, design, maintenance, construction, alteration, repair, scoping estimates, and inspection of grounds, buildings, ground structures, utilities, and installed equipment and systems.
