About the Business Line
We provide professional services in areas such as aviation, transit, freight rail, highways and bridges, planning, and ports and marine. Our global network of top-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries.

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking staff to support its National Transportation Analytics Group in Arlington, Virginia.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Analysis of public contracting systems and issues, development of procurement guidelines and documents, development of public-private partnerships, and strategic and business planning including innovative finance
  • Examination of governance and funding for major new projects and institutional change
  • Support for grant management and grant programming by transit and rail clients
  • Extensive contact with client staff, including senior management; governing boards; and elected officials
  • Report writing and presentation of findings
  • Contribution to overall engagement profitability and performance
  • Delivery of timely and quality services that meet or exceed team manager's and client's expectations
  • Participation in professional organizations relevant to public administration, transportation or transit management sectors

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the areas of paralegal/legal services, contracting, business administration, public administration, accounting, economics, finance, management, or applied mathematics with supporting skills in the areas of contracting and acquisition, management consulting, business process improvement, financial analysis, economic analysis, or other relevant area
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding and insights in the fields of one or more of the following: government procurement, public-private partnerships, transit administration, transit asset management, financial planning, urban transportation planning
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Capability to develop and present deliverable products to clients in both written and oral form
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to adapt/respond to changes in client expectations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
