About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
AECOM has an immediate opportunity to join our Engineering team at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. We are seeking a Draftperson , ideally experienced with DoD systems.
Works on projects involving the design and development of electrical and mechanical prototypes and productions.
Prepares a variety of preliminary and working drawings documenting the engineering design.
Formulates documentation concerning procedures and processes for manufacturing, material identification, finishing instructions, specifications, and testing criteria.
Utilizes Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and associated Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)
software approved by TYAD (Pro Engineer and AutoCAD).
Develops new drawings; adapts current drawings to incorporate Engineering Changes and researching specifications.
Possesses a working knowledge of and experience with standard drawings practices, basic drafting principles, and preparation of drawings, sketches, and artwork using CAE/CADD.
Develops detailed models and drawings from 2-dimensional drawings and sketches, assemblies, and verbal instructions.
May be required to perform site visits to gain information to develop the Technical Data Package (TDP);
makes decisions on information pertaining to proper dimensions, tolerances, layouts, and development of the TDP.
Reviews all drawings to ensure conformance to all required specifications, revision levels, internal standards, formats, grammar, spelling, etc.
Submits complete drawings to a government employee for validation.
Maintains all work in accordance with the approved TYAD procedures for Configuration Management.
Interacts in a team environment with a diverse technical work force.
May be required to travel to other installations to provide technical analysis and solutions.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED, 2-year advanced degree in CAE/CADD, or similar field.
EXPERIENCE: Four years experience developing engineering drawings can be substituted for 2-year advanced degree
Must be U.S. Citizen and able to pass / maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
