Do you want security and stability in your next role? My client who are a top 5 contractor in the build market in the UK are looking for an Operations Manager to join their company in Surrey. |
They are a well established, strong, financially secure contractor with years of experience in working in changing markets. The majority of their work is framework led and work mainly in Healthcare and Education projects from £5 - £20 million.
They have been through recessions without having to make redundancies and have secured work for the next 4 years guaranteed.
The Operations Manager role is essentially a Contracts Manager role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing 3-4 projects on site whilst working on some tenders with the pre-con team.
An Operations Manager duties include:
* Managing 3-4 sites both financially and production wise
* Programming and planning projects from tender stage
* Responsible for all Heath & Safety on site
* Appointing teams for each project using internal staff as well as getting involved with external recruitment
* Getting involved in winning work and helping with pre-con and design
* Being a leading example for the contractor with clients and sub-contractors
* Putting together tender packages alongside the commercial team and appointing the best sub-contractors for the job
* Being the clients point of contact
The contractor are a very well known top 5 contractor in the UK, they have a long established, recognised brand that has a good reputation for building projects on time and to budget but also concentrating on delivering a project that a client is happy with.
They concentrate on projects from £5 - £20 million within healthcare and education that are framework led. However they are also working on projects up to £50 million outside of this area but are very client led.
I feel this would be a good opportunity for either a Senior Project Manager who is looking to take the next step or somebody working for a smaller contractor looking to take the next step. The ideal candidate would be somebody who has worked on similar sized projects within healthcare and education. However all building people will be considered.
If you would like to know more about the role please contact Ricky in the London office or send in your CV and I will be in touch.
