Had enough of working for a big contractor that makes you feel like just a number? This role, as a Senior Site Manager is working for a reputable regional based contractor that turnover £50 million a year and have done for the last 10 years. |
This role as a Senior Site Manager is to be the number 1 on the site reporting into a visiting Contracts Manager. The project is a £8 million private school based in the borough of Greenwich. It's a new build project that has gone through pre-con and is now due to start in the next 6 weeks. Even though it's a relatively smaller sized contract the project has RC frame, an unusual cladding system, and quite a high spec finish internally so it will be an interesting project to deliver.
The salary is negotiable but the client has indicated that they would like to pay between £45,000 - £55,000 plus a car allowance of £5500, travel paid, private healthcare, pension and a discretion airy bonus that 95% of the company got last year.
The client are a East London based regional contractor with the majority of their work being based in and around London. They work on projects from £500,000 - £15 million and work in the education, residential and commercial areas. Even though they are a smaller contractor they have won numerous awards for design and delivering projects that clients have been extremely happy with.
A Senior Site Manager duties will include:
* Being responsible for all health and safety on site
* Reporting into a visiting Contracts Manager on a weekly basis
* Managing sub-contractors on a daily basis as well as pushing them and driving the project on
* Dealing with any design changes and working closely with the commercial and design team
* Pushing the project forward and getting the project built on time and to budget
I feel this role would be suitable for a current site manager working for a larger contractor who has had enough of not getting recognised for their achievements. This company have a very high staff retention and treat their staff very well.
This could also be a nice role for an assistant site manager that isn't getting the promotion they deserve.
If you would like to know more details please call Ricky in the London office or send in your CV and I will be in touch.
